Ms. Brenda

Executive Director

Ms. Brenda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and continued on to receive her AMS Early Childhood Credential in Montessori education.  She has over a decade of experience working in early childhood education in various roles.  Ms. Brenda is a strong believer that education is the most inspirational and rewarding field that anyone can pursue.  In her spare time, Ms. Brenda enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants, kayaking, hiking, shopping, and following her favorite Los Angeles Hockey and Basketball sports teams.  She is extremely excited to be part of the Spectrum Family.

Ms. Amanda

 Assistant Director

Ms. Amanda graduated from the University California at Davis, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology, and a Minor in Women’s Studies.  She went on to receive her American Montessori Society Teaching Credential for the Lower Elementary from the San Francisco Bay Area Montessori Teacher Training Center.  She has over 20 years of experience in education; ten of which was teaching in a 1st through 3rd grade Montessori classroom.  She was an administrator at an all-girls high school in Anaheim before becoming an assistant director at another local Montessori program.  She comes from a long-line of Montessorians; her mother just recently retired after 20 years in the field, and her brother owns a Montessori based company.  She is thrilled to be joining the Spectrum family!


Ms. Sheena

Lead Infant Teacher

Ms. Sheena received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from California State University, Fullerton.  After working as an intern at the CSUF Development Center, she developed a passion for working with children and is committed to further her education and career in this field.  Ms. Sheena enjoys watching the children grow while providing them with a loving and nurturing environment.  In her free time, Ms. Sheena enjoys staying active, watching hockey, spending time with friends and family, baking, and traveling. 


Ms. Dida

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Dida graduated from the Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she taught at Maryknoll College Grade School in Quezon City, Philippines, until she migrated to the US in 2001. She completed the Early Childhood courses at the UCLA Extension Program and Irvine Valley College. She has worked with children of all ages at a Montessori preschool. Ms. Dida enjoys working with children and treats each one as her own. She helps each child develop his/her independence and love for learning.


Ms. Elizabeth

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Elizabeth earned her Bachelors of Arts in Human development with a focus in child development from California State University, San Bernardino.  She has worked with children from ages 3 months to 12 years old and loves working with any age group.  Ms. Elizabeth plans to continue her education and pursue her Masters in education and PhD so that one day she can teach and share her passion for child development.  In her spare time, Ms. Elizabeth enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.


Ms. Gaby

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Gaby is a full-time student at Santa Ana College studying Early Childhood Development.  Initially, her interest was to work with children ages 3 to 4 years until she started working with infants.  After spending time with infants, she realized that this was the best place she could have the greatest impact on the development of the children.  On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 


Ms. Melanie

 Lead Toddler Teacher

 Ms. Melanie took her Montessori training at UC Irvine and received a teaching certificate for ages birth to 3 years old.  She has been working with infants and toddlers for the past 12 years as an assistant and lead teacher.  During her free time, Ms. Melanie enjoys being with her children and barbequing on the weekends.


Ms. Janet

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Janet received her Montessori training at St. Nicholas Foundation in Malaysia and graduated from the British Montessori Center International in 2002. In addition to the Montessori training, she also took a variety of Early Childhood courses at Irvine Valley College. Ms. Janet has nine years of experience in Montessori education, both as a lead and assistant teacher in the toddler program. Her passion is derived from her love of watching children develop and grow into capable and dependent individuals. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and of course, spending time with her husband and three children on the weekends.

Ms. Salena

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Salena is very excited to join the Spectrum Montessori team.  She has been working with children ages 2 through 3 for about 3 years.  Ms. Salena recently earned her Infant Toddler Montessori certification from the University of California, Irvine.  She is a very friendly and outgoing person, who welcomes all children with open arms.  As a teacher, she believes the key to a child's heart is through their education.  Ms. Salena enjoys watching children grow and learn throughout the school year.


Ms. Maria

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Maria is a giving and energetic soul who grew up in the South Bay.  She has worked with children for 11 years and strongly believes that the opportunities have been the most rewarding experiences, the biggest blessings, and a labor of love.  She has been practicing the Montessori Method for 10 years now and obtained her certifications both in Infant/Toddler and in Preschool from the University of Irvine.  What is most important to her are the imprints that she leaves and the inspiration that she builds with children and adults alike.  Ms. Maria is excited to be part of the Spectrum team and family and is ready to share her free spirited nature to all.


Ms. Christina

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Christina first discovered Montessori when her son went to Montessori School as a toddler. Ms. Christina began pursuing her Teacher Assistant credentials so one day she could work at a Montessori school and follow her love of working with and learning from toddlers.


Ms. Giovanna

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Giovanna earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine.  The courses she took were focused on child development as it was one of her main interests.  She has experience in working with children from 3 months to 12 years, and she loves all age groups.  She has always been passionate about working with kids, and she has never left the field since she graduated from high school.  Ms. Giovanna is truly happy while working with children and aspires to always make a difference in their lives as they do in hers.


Ms. Viri

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Viridiana has over seven years of experience working with children from infants to high school age and has worked at a Montessori school setting for three years.  She attended San Bernardino Valley College, where she obtained two Associates degrees in Child Development and Liberal Arts in Humanities and Fine Arts.  She is currently working on her Bachelor’s degree in child development, with a specialization in infant/ toddler growth and development. On her spare time, Ms. Viri enjoys traveling, exploring new places to eat, exercising, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and dog.  She looks forward to continuing to work with and care for all the children at Spectrum Montessori.


Ms. Penny

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Penny has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Philippine Women’s University and has taken additional educational classes in nursing and early childhood development.  Ms. Penny has always enjoyed children, which lead her to pursue a career in education.  She has over 5 years of experience as a Toddler Assistant Teacher and prides herself in bringing joy and love to the classroom.  Ms. Penny has a passion to provide a nurturing environment for all children and ensures all children receive the best care and love.  Ms. Penny feels very fortunate and excited to be a part of the Spectrum Montessori family.  She believes the school has many experienced and professional teachers and looks forward to collaboratively working with all the great teachers to make the learning environment the best for the children at the school.


Ms. Lucy

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Lucy is a Certified Montessori Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management.  She has more than eight years of teaching experience in a Montessori School for ages 18 months to six years old.  During her spare time, she tutors kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students in the public school.  Ms. Lucy started as a college instructor in a foreign country and decided to take the Montessori training later on to teach the very young children of our society.  From then on, she dedicated her career to the fundamental development of the very young minds, the rewarding and fulfilling moments every educator enjoys.


Ms. Jessica

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Jessica grew up in Orange County, California.  She is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelors of Arts in Education.  She was the Art and Humanities Coordinator/Instructor when she became passionate about working with children.  This passion led Ms. Jessica to learn about Maria Montessori and was so inspired that she went and attained her AMS Montessori certificate.  Ms. Jessica feels that teaching has been a beautiful and fulfilling experience for her as she watches the children grow and learn.  In her spare time, she enjoys the arts and serving at her church.


Ms. Patty

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Patty graduated from Philippine Women’s University with a B.A. in Psychology and went into teaching young children right after graduation. She fell in love with the Montessori Philosophy and eventually obtained her AMS Montessori Diploma. Ms. Patty has years of teaching experience. Teaching young children is her passion. Also, Ms. Patty enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and actively participating at her church prayer group. 


Ms. Clarissa

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Clarissa obtained her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii. Her degree included her certification from American Montessori Society. Living on the island brought her a true sense of Dr. Maria Montessori’s love of nature and the esthetic value of incorporating it inside the classroom. Ms. Clarissa has years of experience working in a Montessori classroom. She has also helped families on a more personal level which embraces the philosophy in their own homes. Although, her greatest blessing the last three years has been to be able to fully implement the teachings of Dr. Montessori with her own child.


Ms. Cybill

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Cybill graduated from the University of California, Irvine and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health Policy and a minor in Education.  She has nearly a decade of experience working at various schools ranging from toddlers to elementary-aged children. Her love and passion for teaching is something that she has always wanted to pursue.  The opportunity to work at a Montessori will help her venture off into the next chapter of her life with the clarification that teaching is exactly what she loves to do.  She earned her American Montessori Society certification from an accredited teacher training program in Dana Point.  In her spare time, Cybill likes to watch sports (Go Lakers and Dodgers!), cook, go to Disneyland, and spend quality time with family and friends.


Ms. Nalani

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Nalani is a currently a college student and is enrolled in classes to further her Early Childhood Education.  She has over 6 years of experience working with children of all ages.  She enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new local exhibits, and discovering eclectic eateries.  Ms. Nalani enjoys connecting with children and helping them be their best selves.  She is excited to be part of the Spectrum Montessori family and looks forward to having many positive experiences with the children, their families, and the staff.

Ms. Tia

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Tia currently attends Saddleback College and is enrolled in classes to further her Early Childhood education.  She came to Spectrum Montessori with years of experience working with children of all ages and loves the Montessori philosophy.  She continues to grow as an educator as she pursues her love and passion for teaching children.  Ms. Tia’s other hobbies include going to Disneyland, singing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Ms. Cristina

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Cristina earned an A.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences, as well as an A.A. in Humanities and Communication from Santiago Canyon Community College.  She continued her education at California State University, Fullerton and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development.  In her spare time, Ms. Cristina enjoys reading, walking her dog, and playing softball.  


Ms. Suzzaine

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Suzzaine has been working with children with special needs for eight years.  She enjoys working with children and loves to watch them grow and learn.  In her spare time, Ms. Suzzaine enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and shopping.  In the future, she hopes to further her education in Montessori training.  Ms. Suzzaine is excited to be a part of the Spectrum family. 


Ms. Armida

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Armida has been working at Montessori schools for the past twenty years.  Her son and daughter attended Montessori schools in their early childhood, which inspired her to pursue her Montessori training.  She has much love and passion for teaching young children in the Montessori setting.  She is currently attending Saddleback College to further her early childhood education.  In her spare time, she enjoys music concerts, Zumba, and spends time with family and friends.
