Ms. Lura

Executive Director

Ms. Lura holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Education from Illinois College. She also received her Early Childhood Credential in Montessori education from MECA Seton, an American Montessori Society Accredited teacher training program in Illinois. She has over 16 years of experience working in Montessori, both as a lead teacher and a school director. Ms. Lura comes from a large family and began working in preschools while in college. After discovering the Montessori education, she became a passionate follower of Dr. Maria Montessori and has a true love for being with and learning from young children.

Ms. Kayley

Assistant Director

Ms. Kayley recently relocated to Southern California from New York City, where she received her Montessori certification in Infant/Toddler from West Side Montessori School and her B.A. in Art History from Marymount Manhattan College.  She has been a teacher in both infant and toddler classrooms and loves creating beautiful and functional Montessori environments, educating families about the Montessori philosophy, and staying current about issues in the fields of early childhood education and child development.  Ms. Kayley lives with her husband and dog in Long Beach and absolutely loves enjoying a California sunset on the beach or trying out new restaurants.  She loves to travel, and her favorite city (so far) is Rome!

Ms. Ely

Lead Infant Teacher

Ms. Ely completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Far Eastern University in Manilo, Philippines and taught science for 23 years in Maryknoll College Grade School. Since she moved to the US in 2001, she has worked in Montessori schools in Orange County. She took Early Childhood courses at UCLA Extension Program and North Orange County Community College. Ms. Ely is a mother of three grown daughters. She has great passion to work with children.


Ms. Dani

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Dani received her AMS Infant and Toddler Montessori certificate in 2005.  In addition to that, she also took a variety of Early Childhood courses at Fullerton Junior College.  Ms. Dani has nearly ten years of experience in Montessori education.  In the infant/toddler program, she has a passion for working with young children and enjoys their unique personalities that shine out. On her spare time, she loves spending time with her two kids, being outdoors, and reading.


Ms. Brendali

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Brenda earned her B.S. in Elementary Education back in the Philippines and taught at private schools for 17 years before immigrating to the United States.  It was in America that she first encountered the Montessori education and decided she wanted to work in a Montessori classroom.  Ms. Brenda is joining Spectrum Montessori with over a decade of experience working with young children in a Montessori setting, including six years as a head teacher in a Montessori toddler classroom.  Since then, Ms. Brenda has completed her Montessori training for the 0 to 3 age group through the Montessori Institute of San Diego.  Ms. Brenda has a deep interest and understanding of parents' concerns and the challenges they face in balancing their lives raising young children.  She encourages everyone to participate in a gentle, non-judgmental sharing of what it means to parent a toddler.  In addition to teaching, she enjoys singing, dancing, and reading books.  She loves nature and feels a sense of peace when hiking or gardening.  She believes maintaining a peaceful state of mind is essential in life and working with children.


Ms. Katie

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Katie is thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Spectrum Montessori. What she loves most about teaching is that every day brings new challenges, victories, and opportunities for individual self-discovery and growth. Teaching children and providing a safe, caring, and healthy environment where they can discover the world through their own individual self is what draws her to the Montessori program here at Spectrum Montessori. Ms. Katie is surrounded by a faculty of teachers who love children and are dedicated to providing them with every tool necessary to step into this world with an open heart and a hunger for knowledge.  She is grateful to be part of the Spectrum Montessori family. 

Ms. Beatriz

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Beatriz is a graduate of Philippine Normal University with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education and a major in Mathematics.  She taught math and science for seven years at the Sacred Heart Academy.  Due to her passion to be with young children, she took her AMS Early Childhood Montessori Training in September 2002 in San Francisco.  Since then, she has devoted her time in the Montessori environment for the last 13 years.  She is amazed at how the children learn from concrete to abstract and the inner discipline that the children develop in the Montessori environment.  Ms. Beatriz is a very proud mom to Matthew who grew up in the Montessori environment since he was 18 months old.  He is now 9 years old.  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her family clan.


Ms. Diana

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Diana Kim received her B.A. in Sociology from University of California, Irvine in 2009. While working at a traditional pre-school for six years, she realized working with children was her passion and decided to pursue and obtain a Multiple Subject Credential from California State University, Fullerton. She taught elementary students for two years before moving overseas to teach English at an elementary school where she was introduced to the Montessori philosophy. She knew that it was the type of education she wanted to provide. She returned to the states to learn more about the theories behind Montessori and receive her AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Institute of San Diego. She believes that every child is unique and full of potential, and in them, we find the creators of humanity. She is very excited to be part of the Spectrum team and look forward to working with each child and participate in their educational journey.  In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities, trying different restaurants, attending musicals, and visiting art galleries.


Ms. Ludy

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Ludy graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education and a major in History.  She taught Social Studies, Geography, World History, and Civics/Government in Manila for more than 10 years.  Ms. Ludy obtained her Montessori Certificate at the North American Montessori Center in 2010.  She also took Early Childhood courses in the Philippines and attended UCLA Extension School for additional courses in ECE when she moved to the US in 2001.  That same year, she worked in a Montessori school in Orange Country.  Ms. Ludy also worked as a preschool and kindergarten teacher in a Montessori school for 5 years in Las Vegas.  She recently moved back to California.  Working with children is her passion, helping them realize their potentials and appreciate the world around them.  Ms. Ludy loves to travel and cook.


Ms. Irene

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Irene obtained her Montessori diploma from International Association of Progressive Montessori.  She has over 12 years of experience working in the field of early childhood and the Montessori environment.  Ms. Irene is currently enrolled in the B.A program majoring in Early Childhood at University of La Verne.  Her favorite part about working with children is being able to witness their curiosity for the world and being a part of their growth and development.  Ms. Irene is very excited to be joining the team here at Spectrum Montessori.



Ms. Lucy

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Lucy is a Certified Montessori Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management.  She has more than eight years of teaching experience in a Montessori School for ages 18 months to six years old.  During her spare time, she tutors kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students in the public school.  Ms. Lucy started as a college instructor in a foreign country and decided to take the Montessori training later on to teach the very young children of our society.  From then on, she dedicated her career to the fundamental development of the very young minds, the rewarding and fulfilling moments every educator enjoys.


Ms. Josette

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Josette earned her Montessori certification from the Montessori Western training.   She discovered Montessori through her cousin and truly embraced the philosophy while completing the training.  Montessori allows her to be creative and be able to give each child what they need to help them learn and grow.  Ms. Josette also loves science and tries to bring in as much nature and science experiments in her classroom as best she can.  In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, travel, and play with her pet animals.
