Ms. Lura

Executive Director

Ms. Lura holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Education from Illinois College. She also received her Early Childhood Credential in Montessori education from MECA Seton, an American Montessori Society Accredited teacher training program in Illinois. She has over 16 years of experience working in Montessori, both as a lead teacher and a school director. Ms. Lura comes from a large family and began working in preschools while in college. After discovering the Montessori education, she became a passionate follower of Dr. Maria Montessori and has a true love for being with and learning from young children.

Ms. Katie

Assistant Director

Ms. Katie initially learned about the Montessori Philosophy from a dear family friend during her formative college years. Ms. Katie’s love for Dr. Maria Montessori’s teachings grew while receiving her Bachelors in Education and Fine Arts at Seton Hall University, New Jersey. Continuing on from college, she studied the Early Childhood Montessori Curriculum at Princeton Center for Teacher Education in 1998. More recently, Ms. Katie went on to study the Elementary Montessori Curriculum at Montessori Center for Teacher Education in San Diego. Ms. Katie is thrilled to be working with such dedicated teachers at Spectrum Montessori and looks forward to supporting an authentic Montessori School program.


Ms. Ely

Lead Infant Teacher

Ms. Ely completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Far Eastern University in Manilo, Philippines and taught science for 23 years in Maryknoll College Grade School. Since she moved to the US in 2001, she has worked in Montessori schools in Orange County. She took Early Childhood courses at UCLA Extension Program and North Orange County Community College. Ms. Ely is a mother of three grown daughters. She has great passion to work with children.


Ms. Deven

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Deven has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Great Bay College, New Hampshire.  She has nearly fifteen years of experience working with infants and toddlers.  Ms.Deven has been focused on infant and toddler Montessori teachings since 2010.  Ms. Deven is a proud military wife who has traveled all over the United States with her Marine husband, caring for, and teaching children in each state.  In her free time, Ms. Deven enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters.  She also has a true passion for baking and cake decorating.  She is running a small specialty cake shop out of her home. 

 

Ms. Yvonne

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Yvonne earned her dual Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Human Development - Child Development Track and Psychology - from California State University, San Bernardino.  She is now furthering her education in Speech and Language Pathology Assistant at Cerritos College.  Ms. Yvonne would like to continue to pursue her Master’s degree.  In her free time, she loves watching musicals and plays, cooking, doing yoga, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Jenny

Infant Teacher Assistant

Ms. Jenny attended California State University, Fullerton and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Studies and a minor in Human Services.  While at Fullerton, her internship included working with preschool students with the Jumpstart program. She is interested in advancing her education and obtaining a Master’s degree in Education.  During her free time, she loves playing basketball, doing crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. 

 

Ms. Dani

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Dani received her AMS Infant and Toddler Montessori certificate in 2005.  In addition to that, she also took a variety of Early Childhood courses at Fullerton Junior College.  Ms. Dani has nearly ten years of experience in Montessori education.  In the infant/toddler program, she has a passion for working with young children and enjoys their unique personalities that shine out. On her spare time, she loves spending time with her two kids, being outdoors, and reading.

 

Ms. Brendali

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Brenda earned her B.S. in Elementary Education back in the Philippines and taught at private schools for 17 years before immigrating to the United States.  It was in America that she first encountered the Montessori education and decided she wanted to work in a Montessori classroom.  Ms. Brenda is joining Spectrum Montessori with over a decade of experience working with young children in a Montessori setting, including six years as a head teacher in a Montessori toddler classroom.  Since then, Ms. Brenda has completed her Montessori training for the 0 to 3 age group through the Montessori Institute of San Diego.  Ms. Brenda has a deep interest and understanding of parents' concerns and the challenges they face in balancing their lives raising young children.  She encourages everyone to participate in a gentle, non-judgmental sharing of what it means to parent a toddler.  In addition to teaching, she enjoys singing, dancing, and reading books.  She loves nature and feels a sense of peace when hiking or gardening.  She believes maintaining a peaceful state of mind is essential in life and working with children.

 

Ms. Marivic

Lead Toddler Teacher

Ms. Marivic grew up and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science in the Philippines. Ms. Marivic was inspired by her mom who is a Montessori Certified Director from UCI extension and has been teaching for almost 30 years. Ms. Marivic has a true love for children and passion for toddlers. She has been working in Montessori Schools with infants and toddlers for almost 15 years. Ms. Marivic has a 12-year-old son who also attended Montessori school from the age of 3 months to preschool. Ms. Marivic enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, singing, and staying active in her church.

 

Ms. Carlee

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Carlee is an undergraduate student who has recently applied to Chapman University to further her education and pursue her bachelor's in Psychology.  She has always been passionate about working with children of all ages.  She hopes to become a school psychologist in the future.  After providing nanny services for over five years, Ms. Carlee has come to realize the importance of embracing each child's individual development.  She is excited to be part of the Spectrum Montessori program who shares the same philosophy. On her spare time, Ms. Carlee enjoys spending time with her family, close friends, and traveling.

 

Ms. Becky

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Becky is currently attending Santa Ana College where she is furthering her Early Childhood education.  She has always had a passion to work with young children.  This is something she has always wanted to pursue.  On her free time, Ms. Becky enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 2-year-old son.  He is the light of her life!


Ms. Diana

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Diana attended Santa Ana College and obtained her Early Childhood Credential.  She has been working with infants and toddlers for over eight years.  Ms. Diana is very passionate in working with young children.  On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old son, Roberto.

 

Ms. Ashly

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Ashly is currently furthering her Early Childhood Education at Cerritos College. She has over 4 years of experience working with children of all ages and wants to further her education to transfer and get her degree in Psychology. The opportunity to work at Spectrum Montessori will help her pursue a career in teaching young children with such great passion. In her free time, she loves to go for a workout, a hike, and on road trips.

 

Ms. Beatriz

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Beatriz is a graduate of Philippine Normal University with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education and a major in Mathematics.  She taught math and science for seven years at the Sacred Heart Academy.  Due to her passion to be with young children, she took her AMS Early Childhood Montessori Training in September 2002 in San Francisco.  Since then, she has devoted her time in the Montessori environment for the last 13 years.  She is amazed at how the children learn from concrete to abstract and the inner discipline that the children develop in the Montessori environment.  Ms. Beatriz is a very proud mom to Matthew who grew up in the Montessori environment since he was 18 months old.  He is now 9 years old.  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her family clan.

 

Ms. Anitra

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Anitra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Development from Brandman University in Irvine.  She also received her Early Childhood Associate Credential in Montessori education in 2001 from the Montessori Western Teacher Training Program in Garden Grove.  Ms. Anitra has many years of experience, both as a lead teacher and a school director.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters when not teaching.  Ms. Anitra is an avid sports fan.  Her favorites are soccer, football, and basketball.  She is a Corinthians SC soccer mom and a California State University East Bay mom.  

 

Ms. Ifra

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Ifra completed her AMI Montessori training in Karachi, Pakistan, along with her BA in education.  She has been around children for 14 years and loves watching them grow in all aspects.  She loves the Montessori Philosophy and believes strongly in the whole child.  She is of the view that children shape up the world to be a better place, so let’s join hands in providing them with a well-balanced, nurtured environment.  Ms. Ifra loves writing, skydiving, reading, and volunteering closely with IPSF in raising funds for the Irvine School District.  She is also a P90X fanatic.

 

Ms. Kristi

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Kristi attended Seattle University and received her American Montessori Society certification from the Montessori Center for Teacher Education - Washington State.  She has worked in a Montessori setting for several years, two of those years as an assistant before returning to school to become an AMS accredited teacher.  Her love of the Montessori philosophy started when her youngest child attended a Montessori school at age 3.  She looks forward to guiding your child through their early childhood development.  In Issaquah Washington, just outside of Seattle, she helped open a new school from the ground up.  She is excited to be a part of Woodbury and the Spectrum family.  In her spare time, she enjoys watching her children play soccer, run track, and jump hurdles.  She is an avid reader, enjoys movies, working out, and loves the sunny California.  Sundays are filled with family, friends, food, and football-Go Seahawks!

 

Ms. Jenifer

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Jenifer earned her B.S. in Child and Adolescent Studies, as well as her multiple subject teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton.  She later earned her American Montessori Society certification from UCI. She has been a Montessori teacher for almost a decade and has worked in toddler, preschool, and kindergarten classroom settings. Miss Jenifer fell in love with the Montessori philosophy while doing classroom observations in her aunt’s Montessori preschool classroom and became a Montessori teacher herself shortly after. She loves the hands-on experience it provides and how it promotes grace and courtesy, independence, and a sense of wonder in children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, sightseeing, eating, and spending time with her husband Theodore! 

 

Ms. Jessica

Lead Primary Teacher

Ms. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child & Family Development at San Diego State University. Ms. Jessica first fell in love with the Montessori philosophy during her ROP Childcare courses in high school. She is now taking the Montessori training at the Montessori Teacher Academy. In her spare time, she loves going to Disneyland and the beach. She also loves traveling, DIY (do-it-yourself!) projects, gardening, and watching the Cooking channel.


Ms. Lucy

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Lucy fell in love working with children at a young age through her mother’s home day care.  Ms. Lucy assisted her mother for over 10 years until she began pursuing a career in early childhood.  She completed her Early Childhood Certificate from Riverside Community College.  She worked at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Preschool Riverside as the preschool assistant teacher for four years.  Ms. Lucy recently moved to Orange County to pursue a career in a Montessori preschool in hopes to expand her knowledge in this environment.  She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, shopping, hiking, and listening to good country music.

 

Ms. Gigi

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Gigi has recently graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 2016 earning the degree of Bachelor of Science, Child and Adolescent Development.  In 2015, she completed an internship program by working with children at a previous Montessori school.  Ms. Gigi's goal is to pursue a career at Spectrum Montessori and earn a Montessori certificate.  Other than working with children, her passion is to spend time with her pets.

 

Ms. Tiffany

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Tiffany graduated from Cal State Fullerton and initially pursued a career as an elementary teacher.  She worked from 2003 to 2015 at Saddleback School District as a child care leader.  She was promoted to a lead kindergarten teacher, where she worked for seven years.  After following her passion of working with young children, she pursued a job a Spectrum Montessori as a primary assistant teacher.

 

Ms. Daniella

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Daniella has an Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences, as well as a degree in Humanities from Pasadena City College.  She is continuing her education to earn her bachelor's degree and a multiple subject teaching credential.  She has a passion for teaching young children and has had the opportunity to work with children in various settings including overseas in Thailand for a non-profit organization.  She first encountered the Montessori philosophy in her undergraduate studies and fell in love with it.  She loves working in the Montessori environment and hopes to continue expanding her knowledge in the future.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and going to art galleries and museums with her husband as well as nature walks, especially to the beach.

 

Ms. Ayumi

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Ayumi completed her bachelor's degree in early childhood development from California State University of Fullerton and was also on the gymnastics team there.  She started working with children coaching gymnastics for 11 years.  Three years ago, she started working at a Montessori School and fell in love with the philosophy.  Ms. Ayumi would love to expand her knowledge and get her Montessori certificate. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. 

 

Ms. Aliza

Primary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Aliza attended Irvine Valley College and obtained her Early Childhood Credential.  She has been working with children from a young age. Her passion for inspiring children and love for being around children inspired her to pursue a career in teaching.   She has been working with primary and kindergarten aged children for over nine years.  In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
